MSR Media, led by movie producer Philippe Martinez, has announced an expansion of its ongoing lawsuit initially targeting Saint Kitts & Nevis' former prime minister, Timothy Harris, and other key figures for alleged corruption in the Citizenship by Investment (CBI) program. The case now also targets third-party CBI agents and companies facilitating these investments.
The lawsuit, which accuses the involved parties of engaging in "an international scam" involving discounted CBI real estate, aims to include additional defendants such as escrow agents and sales agents, citing companies like RIF Trust and Latitude. MSR Media claims these agents participated in or allowed the continuation of illegal practices across various Caribbean nations.
This weekend's press release from MSR also highlighted new evidence intended for US court proceedings, indicating potential security risks to the US and EU due to inadequate due diligence in the CBI process. The evidence purportedly includes financial transactions benefiting government officials.
MSR Media has shared this information with US authorities and plans to present it to the European Commission. The company has also invited officials from the Saint Lucian government to discuss the findings, hoping to influence a regional shift in handling the CBI schemes, particularly urging an end to cooperation with Caribbean Galaxy.
Further announcements regarding potential litigation against additional entities in St. Kitts and Nevis are expected soon.
